oh, you've got grey eyes

so yes, it's about 7:30 in the morning. and guess what? i have recently slept. that's right. i won't go into the extemely boring specifics, but suffice it to say that i got up (without an alarm) at 6:30 this morning, and am now ready to attack this day with a fervor usually reserved for people who have something to look forward to in their day. myself, i have work later, and that's about it. hell, other than svu, i have nothing to watch on television tonight.

the problem, as i've found, is that i can't think of how to attack this day. there are plenty of things i can think of that i should do (clean, etc.), but none of them seem like morning things. i feel like i should be doing some administrative tasks, clearing out the backlog of stuff sitting on my dresser, but i can't think of anything. so here i sit, listening to neko case and feeling as though big important things are not being done. not really the way i want to begin my day. but hey, my day has just begun! this is how normal people feel!

now my right wrist has been bothering me for the past couple of days. this could be for one of three reasons:

while we are stealing heat from the downstairs neighbors, it's still rather cold...what with it being 20 degrees or so outside, and our windows suck all warm air out. the cold weather may be causing these wrist issues.

my inheritance of my dad's genes may finally be manifesting itself. my dad had to buy a car with power windows because he couldn't roll it down by hand. and i may be on that same boat.

the beginnings of carpal tunnel syndrome, as caused by excessive time spent on this computer doing nothing in particular for the past week or so.

or i may just be a hypochondriac. but i swear, my right hand isn't as dextrous as it should be.

i have so many great ideas. now i just need someone to remind me that following through (and following through quickly) on those great ideas would be nice.

other than that, considering it's the holiday season, and i really don't like the holiday season, things are going okay, thanks for asking. how are you? you look good in those pants.
